Climbing
Good to push, reach and stretch for the first time in a long time. Good to feel the excitement of uncertainty, when you don't know where to reach for the next hold, hand or foot first?
Prayer can be like that, reaching out, unaware, an imperceptible grace, waiting for you to find it in the dark, whilst you're certain there can be no way to proceed, no way to move on.
You're fixated of course, on this ridiculous notion that God owes you a game plan, or a glimpse of what's to come, as if every time Christ and His angels said 'be not afraid,' they weren't talking to you, eyed locked on yours, knowing the fear and doubt that plagued the depths of your being.
Bit it's there again and again: Be not afraid. Enough times to consider trying it - don't you think?
